AGAP Privacy Notice

This draft explains what information the current AGAP beta may use, when it may be used, and who may receive it.

Legal-review draft. Do not publish this as the App Store privacy URL until the operator details, retention periods, service-provider disclosures, children's safeguards, rights procedure, and Philippine legal review are complete.

Information AGAP may use

  • Your profile name and AGAP account identifier
  • The account identifier used to confirm your sign-in
  • The people you added to your AGAP group
  • Technical information needed to send an alert to your phone, including whether you use iPhone or Android
  • The SOS type, time, delivery attempts, acknowledgements, response updates, and closure
  • Location, accuracy, and update time during an active SOS
  • Technical records that help determine why an alert, alarm, location, or update failed
  • Optional health, disability, medication, and care-contact details currently kept on the phone

When AGAP uses location

AGAP is intended to request location when a real SOS begins. It should still send the SOS if location is unavailable. While the SOS remains active, the app may attempt to provide updated positions. Location can be missing, delayed, inaccurate, or stale.

Why the information is used

AGAP may use this information to protect accounts, confirm group membership, attempt SOS delivery, share temporary emergency location, show response updates, prevent misuse, secure the service, and investigate failures.

Who may see an active SOS

The sender and the confirmed people authorized to receive that SOS may see its emergency information. Being listed in a family, school, or organization does not by itself give a person access to every SOS or location.

Services that help AGAP operate

The beta may use Firebase Authentication, Expo notification services, Apple Push Notification service, Firebase Cloud Messaging, map services opened by the user, cloud hosting, and app-store services. The final notice must identify each service actually used by the released app and explain the information it receives.

Children and people who need assistance

AGAP is intended to support children and other vulnerable users. Public use requires clear age rules, valid parent or guardian authority where required, safe invitation and removal controls, and procedures for unsafe guardians, custody disputes, and lost phones.

How long information is kept

The final retention and deletion periods have not yet been approved. They must be completed before this notice is published.

Your privacy rights and contact

Questions may be sent to hello@agapsos.com. The final notice still needs the legal operator, approved privacy contact, and procedures for access, correction, deletion, objection, and complaints.
